Is there any issues doing this? I am consdering swapping a Sempron 3000 into my lappie. It is the same socket size as the CPU that is in there (754). Seems to run a bit slower (1.6 vs 2.2 ghz) and it should be much cooler. I would imagine that the battery life would be better also. Anyone know if it can be done?
