You are constantly in here pumping up Dell for their support, product and service, yet they have miserable numbers on resellerratings. Why then would Voodoo having high numbers from a few customer's feedback mean anything to you?

You can't have it both ways. Either Dell truly sucks due to resellerratings numbers, or the Voodoo numbers are just as suspect. There is quite a bit of controversy over Voodoo's numbers on rr. Use your college degrees and do some reading.

Who is talking about Alienware? I have 1500 bucks to put on an M5550 if I feel like it 15 minutes from now, and I'm not applying for a no interest finance account either. Who's in denial about anything? I would like to try AW when my 600m goes out. and yes I feel more confident with AW now that Dell backs them financially, and I don't think I'm the only one. It's not a negative thing.

Your whole history in this section is talking about how much you want an AW, and also telling us all how superior Dell is in support, service, and hardware, and how we all secretly want a Dell.

You sir, are a bag of hot air.

And you shouldn't have confidence in AW now that Dell owns them, haven't you seen Dell's numbers at resellerratings?

Quote:
Why is that? I can read, I can do averages, I can count the number of reviews without a calculator. Is reseller ratings unreliable? Dell seems to have a very low CS rating on there, is that incorrect too?

Now you're saying that Dell has low numbers on RR, yet you think Dell's sh*t don't stink, but you expect us to revere Voodoo's numbers on the same sight?

You're very confused, and I don't think you can do averages. I'm beginning to wonder if you can count.

You want RR to be unreliable with Dell, but accurate with Voodoo. Make up your mind, you can't have it both ways.

What my MO? I was talking about Voodoo. I'm not putting down AW, or praising Dell. Is Falcon garbage too? They are regarded as probably the #1 boutique shop going. If I say Falcon is good are you going to post for 20 minutes and tell me how I love Dell?

Well at least you admit your MO is praising Dell and putting down AW. Falcon Northwest is exceptional, and I can tell you that without looking up their RR numbers.

I recommend FN all the time. FN is not Voodoo.

Oh, and Dell sucks.

Really? HP is #1 in printers, home PCs, Tablet PCs, etc etc etc...they even top Dell. Do you have really bad luck with peripherals or do you despise any large business with billions in it's financial profile? If you do, that's fine, it will make more sense. Everyone has pet peeves. But coming after me everytime I want to have a decent gaming PC conversation doesn't make any sense. I was as interested as the next guy to see Voodoo and HP merge, and to see what would happen.

HP sucks. Everyone I know that uses their home products agree with me.

I used to like HP, I have an old programmable engineering calculator that was state of the art for the time. That was back when I was in college and I used HP basic for programming.

They now suck. HP/Compaq is a joke in the computer world, and now they're a joke in the business world for hiring spies to follow their employees.

You have no understanding of the computer industry, the difference between corporate and home products and support, nor do you have any ability to decipher between reliable information or BS you read on the internet.

That is why you're always eventually asked to leave this section, as your beliefs are unsupported by fact, yet you continue to spew the same nonsense even after repeatedly refuted.

I've never seen anyone with your attitude tolerated here as often and as long as you have been tolerated. You should be very happy I'm not a mod, as I wouldn't be as accepting as the ones that are here now.

You belong in the Dell section where facts are irrelevant.

Rahul is known in the idustry as a scumbag. He frequently spends time at other forums under other names bashing his competition when he's not on his own forums bashing customers with issues.

It doesn't surprise me at all that a company that hires PI's to spy on their employees would partner with a shifty bastard like Sood.

"Can you feel the love tonight..."

<shrug> Dell/Alienware. HP/Voodoo. Not sure what this all means yet. I thought the upside of the Dell/AW merger would be the Dell supply chain allowing AW to have better and faster access to hardware and increase ship times but not sure that I have seen anything yet to support that (though the new case I'm sure also is leading to a lag in ship times). Remians to be seen what the merger will do for or to Voodoo.

I keep hearing over and over about service with AW and Voodoo. Heck, that was one of the main reasons I bought my AW. Food for thought for ya: A few months ago I picked up a machine on the Dell Outlet for a mediacenter computer. Bought a cheap refurb because I liked the specs for the money. It arrives and turns out to be a XPS 400. It came with a free and very random blue screen of death issue. I laugh and think, well that serves me right. I call only to realize that with the XPS comes the XPS service. It was really great. Short to no wait times. Techs that took a good history and, when a call back was necessary, had documented it well enough that we weren't covering the same ground over and over. Turned out to be the RAM, which incidentaly had passed every test we through at it. They shipped me new sticks of ram and a box to return the old. I tell this story becuse my AW didn't arrive in perfect working order either and while the AW tech support was great and helpful it wasn't any more so than what I got at a 10th the cost with my $500 XPS.

So Dell owns Alienware and HP owns Voodoo. So long as the product you buy from them and the support that goes with it is excellent then why does it matter?

All I have to say is...I love Hammer head!! I mean it! He rocks and those who have it in with him fall down under his deep understanding and clear and concise manner in which he cuts to the chase.

HP printers are nice and all, but whoever writes their drivers should be taken out back and shot.

I have there all in one printers and there fine. I cant say anything about there laptops/desktops because personally I rather build my own desktop. When I was looking for a laptop I was looking for something special and that you would rarly see in another persons hand(snob!).

This new merger will bring the little company too the mainstream light. WHich means cheaper products that people can actually afford and might be better service.
The bad? Cheaper parts, outsourced service etc etc.

While I've never had the exp in owning a Voodoo there specs are pretty damn avg in the high performance PC range yet charge around 1-2k more on there product. Thats pretty much the only bad thing I gotta say about them.

The Voodoo folks are pretty vocal and adamant about the prospects of "cheapening" their products. On their own boards this very subject has been discussed, and pretty much dismissed. If I were you, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for reductions in prices.

The Voodoo "Reds" have also stated that only top quality parts will ever be used in Voodoo machines, and that, at least in the foreseeable future, service will remain in-house at their factory in Calgary. I guess time will tell.
Yes but if its such a merger like there talking about Voodoo getting there hands on HP product and HP getting there grub on Voodoo. So? There has too be a break and there will be a break.

Even if Voodoo is a game PC maker there high price will not fit the main stream IF HP will bring them down.

Time will only tell since this is just the start like you said.
