Buying gaming laptop in Canada?

Where's the best place I can buy a gaming laptop in Canada (I'm talking extreme gaming as in 7900 GTX or 7900 GS).

It seems that wherever I look, the prices in Canada are substantially more then that of the States, or the company's promotional values/coupons are nowhere near those that you can get in the US. Another problem is that several gaming models haven't been released in Canada (e.g. Toshiba P100-ST9012 or Dell Inspiron e1705).

Dell does have its Inspiron 9400, but fitting the 7900 GS with a Core2Duo processor is not an option.

Also, if I bought my laptop in the States, import taxes and duties would kill me. Any suggestions?

7900gs is not extreme in anyway lol. the dell e1705 = our i9400.

dell.ca is being retarded and removed the 7900gs for some stupid reason. you could call them and configure via phone (they normally take like 300 or more off) the 7900gs fits in the i9400 its just that they removed it for some dumb reason

the i9400 is the exact same thing as the e1705

Yeah, I too have heard the 7900 GS isn't very good, but it's pretty much what I'm limited to unless I can get a laptop with a 7900GTX for what its actually worth instead of this hiked up nonsense.

I also know that the 9400 and the e1705 are the one in the same. Anyways if you guys got any good places or ideas let me know.

7900gs stock is not very good oced is ok. increase from 6600 3d05 to 8400. pretty significant oc but its still no where near extreme. id suggest you just get a i9400 for now and ditch it when new gen comes around. remember always to call dell before you buy. they bargain lol

where do you live in canada? how much is your budget? i have a supplier who sometimes gets dell xps from montreal.

Unfortunately I live in Vancouver. My budget I'd say is around $2000. I have no idea when we'll be seeing new gen systems. An XPS would be nice, but very expensive.

you can afford a i9400 with that budget but thats about it. machines with 7900gtx are all above 2500cnd
