hello everyone, just got a new gateway laptop (mx6448) and i dont know much about it. my friend said on his, he can turn his fan on/off with fn+f2 and theres no symbol above the f2. above my f2 i have something that looks like (((.))) and i dont know what it does but it doesnt turn my fan on. so...
1) can I/how can i turn my fan on/off
2) whats that symbol mean/whats that button do?
3) are there any other things i can do with keyboard shortcuts? (my friend said fn+f10 disables the touchpad on his, that sort of thing)

thanks

2) Turns the Wireless on or off???
RTFM, it should be somewhere on the hard drive. It should explain the weird little symbols.

this is pretty much being controlled by ur power scheme or 3rd party software

Fn+F2 does turn on/off ur wifi device, so the symbol represents wifi connection
