Hey, when did Dell start charging CA sales tax?

Between my 1/25 order (returned due to blurry WSXGA+), and today's shopping cart for a replacement system, the tax jumped from $18 to $160. Both were on the home site. I wonder if there was some obscure difference in my order that could have triggered it.

I'm starting to think that I'd rather have a good (4x3) 15" WVA SXGA. Maybe even a 14.

the Online Ordering system is going thru an upgrade maybe you should wait till after this is done which is supposed to be finished 6 am Eastern Standard Time

I got taxed too when i purcahsed my 8600 last week. Maybe they have a sales center in california now?

I live in Florida and I got taxed too. To the tune about about 200 bucks or so on the total of my new XPS.

It certainly does away with any advantage of the home online store over small business. Now if I could just find a S/B coupon.
