Aspire AS3004WLCi - Low Battery Time - Do i need External Battery?

Ave,

Recently i purchased the Aspire AS3004WLCi Notebook.
(AMD Mobile Sempron 3100+ 15.4" Wide XGA 512MB 60GB DVD/CD-RW Combo SiS Mirage)

It's a really sleek-cool looking notebook and works great! It suits all my needs and has worked out great for me, especially for the deal i got on it.

The only problem is, the battery time is really low. At a full charge, i still can't get more then an hour. That's just really low battery time.

I'm looking for options to increase battery time. Is there a different battery that i can purchase for my notebook that will give me more battery time? I've also heard about External Battery but don't know much about it. Can anyone suggest something?

You seem to have a problem with ur battery. Even a p4 notebook gets more than an hour battery life. I would call acer and tell them whats going on. They should be able to replace ur battery with a new one.

Thanks. I'll definately get in touch with Acer Support to see what they have to say.

At the same time, if i were to find a solution for a 3 - 5 hour battery-time or my notebook, should i be looking at an external battery solution? And if so, can someone recommend something... cause i have no knowledge or experience with external batteries.
