I think you are supposed to state your price range: like say $1000-1500. Anything over $1100 should get you what you need. Under that it would be a bit of a crap shoot. IMHO....GL

That should have stated " I think you should state your price range" you will get more input from people with what you want and less junk. Sorry for the last post. Didn't mean to sound like i was telling you what to do.

See my thread: http://www.notebookforums.com/thread175986.html

2 different options for external USB powered 2.5" 100GB drives. Also, I PM'ed you about my new HGL30. It fits your bill pretty well as I consider a M570U.

I have a Precision m90, 1.66 core duo, 2gb RAM, currently has 80gb/7200rpm hd but I have a 120gb/5400rpm I could put in there, fx1500m (same as nvidia 7900gs) with almost 4 years of completecare warranty left. With the 120gb HD installed, I'd accept $1600. Item is in PERFECT condition (U.N.inspector can attest to that) and has the best warranty you can buy. I've got two of these machines, though I'd rather not sell the other one, it's my baby. But, for the right price, anything is for sale. If you want the best laptop ever made, PM me. I can send pictures, 3dmarks, whatever you want. Deal is open to anyone actually.

For $1700 you can get what you want and then some. If it were me I would check the dell outlet, I would also look at some of the high end systems on this board. Maybe update your thread with the specs and brand you really want. Screen size graphics CPU ect.

I don't think there's any Dell's made by Clevo... They're made by Compal and Quanta last I checked. In my personal experience, Clevo's are junk. I've only had a couple, and I re-sold them immediately. I've had many Dells and no problems whatsoever... The 17"-only for gamers is definately an issue though.
