Try this place:

I have the Sennheiser HD555, bought them an Ebay, they are awesome, they are a bit big so I would not wear them out, like at an internet cafe or something.

But for gaming and music at home, they are great. I have the Creative sound card too though.

If you want the best, check out this: http://www.razerzone.com/Products/Ga...ng-Headphones/

Razer is most famous for their gaming mice, one of which I am using right now and I can tell you it is awesome, people wonder why not just go and get a cheapo ergonomic mouse but you can FEEL the difference. I'm sure it's the same way with their gaming headset.

Of course keep in mind, that is a headset not headphones - it has a mic too. I'm sure you could swivel the mic out of the way, but if you want headphones (with no mic) then you will have to look somewhere else. Of course a headset is way more useful than headphones anyway for games, especially multiplayer FPSes (CounterStrike anyone? )

I have been using the Logitech 350 Premium USB headset for almost 6 months and I have loved every minute of it. It's comfortable, great quality, stylish, and very easy to use. Just plug it in and you're in business. No software needed. It also has a very need MUTE and VOLUME button on the cord. Best of all i only cost me $35 at Amazon.

Senheiser PX-200. They use the same driver as the higher end HD280 headphones but they use an open, colapsible design so that you can fold them up and take em where ever you go. They come with a really good case to. I've had them for 2 years and they are the best damn portable headphones I've ever used.

They don't have a mic though, so if you looking with something with one of those boom style mics look elsewhere. Senheiser does make a heaphone similar to these ones with a boom mic though, just go to their page and have a look.

Actually it's spelled Sennheiser, and yes I have a pair of their noise-cancelling headphones and they are great quality and everything, I love them. Also like nttdemented said, they are collapsable. Mine are the PXC-250. Keep in mind the cost, of course... I got these as a gift, I would never have spent that kind of money on a pair of headphones, but I do love them and I use them wherever I don't feel geeky using them instead of my earbuds.

Woops I confused my model numbers, mine are PX-100's I payed about $50 for em. If you are anal about sound quality I'd recommend them hands down.

imo, the audio technica line up is great for games, music+movies. they are pricey if you look at their high end lineup (mine were $200- ath-900s), but a friend has a lower priced pair and those are also very good.

I use the Senn HD555's myself and love them.
They are open cans so you can still hear whats going on around you and your ears dont start to sweat like with the noise cancelling (closed) cans.

I also use a right angel 1/8 to 1/4 converter so my headphone jack does not stick out from the side of my laptop.

These sound great even with the onboard sound card with the audigy advanced mb software upgrade.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro (80 ohm version). Incredible bass extension. Extremely comfortable. Closed cans, so you won't disturb others, or be disturbed by others.

Sennheiser's HD line is good - the open-air ones are VERY comfortable over long stretches but cost more.

I've been recently looking for a gaming headset...the ones I've narrowed it down to are the Razer HP-1 and Turtle Beach EarForce HPA (which I'm CONVINCED are the same damned product but no one's confirmed it) and the Steelsound 5Hv2.

The TB and Razer are "surround sound" cans, the Steelsound is just a regular two-channeler. I have a Senn HD580 for true sound.
