Anyone here have a cellphone?
About a year ago had the Motorola V300, V600's... with the transflective display...
(Other models of the "V" series having a transmissive display)
Transflective display being usable in ALL lighting conditions, useable in something called "sunlight" .. (transmissive displays having slightly better "color", but washing out in sunlight)
Well I got some V-3's (aka the Razor).... and the idiots put a tranmissive display in them and they are totally useless outside.... (Great if your a vampire though)
That's why I said it depends on the usage of the item on what kind of screen is best.
Just got a shipment of a new laptop (matte screen), it's only been a few minutes (making a image of the hard drive BEFORE the first boot)... but I can say I'm glad I got rid of the unit I had before with a glossy screen...
Just ran across this, think the guy is on to something. Note the part where he talks about TV's. If you've set up a HDTV with Digital Video Essentials /AVIA you'll better understand what he's talking about:http://arstechnica.com/staff/fatbits.ars/2006/5/16/4004
