Do you clean your keys?

If so, how do you clean it? I always wash my hands before using my laptop, but I guess you can't prevent oil from your skin getting onto the keys eventually.

. when they r needed (hard to define "when" - so it must be a personal preference type of dingy)
. a moist/dry papertowel was all i ever needed

sorry to hijack, but kinda the same topic.

can you clean under them like on a desktop by removing them or is compressed air the only way to go?

laptop keys are kept in place by a weird design , 2 cross plastic and a plastic nipple used as spring. some of these can be easily falling up, the newer models have these nipples underneath a frame.

u can vacuum and use compressed air BUT:
. use vacuum at low speed and make sure u put ur fingers on the key area that u r vacuuming - i lost a few by doing this
. commpress air is probably a bit safer, but still recommending putting your palm over it when u apply the commpressed air

dirt does not easily get into the laptop via the keyboard, since it has a flat plate underneath, separating the outside to the inner compartment

cheers ...
