i really need your advice

Ram 512 DDR2 533 MHz, 80 G.B H.D.D
DVD- Super Multi double- layer, 15.4 "WXGA C B - Blutooth 2.0
Intel Accelerator 950 upto 224 M, 10/100 Ethernet - 56 k Modem
Wireless (802 11 a/b/g) , Acer Orbicam 1.3 MP

*notice this on equiped with battry 6 cells approximatly 2.5 hr.


2-acer aspire 1644



Intel Centrino 2 G.H. ,2MB cache
Ram 512 DDR2 533 MHz, 80 G.B H.D.D
DVD- Super Multi double- layer
, 15.4 "WXGA C B - Blutooth 2.0

am cofused and need to tell me which one to pick and why plz

hi adam_blackice,
I would take the CORE DUO over the centrino any day. Performance increase is amazing. The new Windows VISTA caters for multi-core processors fully.

Plus you get Bluetooth 2 and the built-in webcam.

Core duo for performance all the way. I love my ferrari 4005, but I just bought my 10 year old daughter a compaq notebook with a gig ram, 100 gig hd, and turion 64 dual core! with 128mb nvidia graphics for 800 bux at costco.....damn!! DVD burner et all....14 inch screen, looks great....damn !! No bluetooth though, but who cares?

Update....btw, her notebook exhibits almost no heat, but for some reason my ferrari seems quicker....haven't figured it out....her dual core turion is rated at 1.66 ghz

Go with the 1st choice with the Core Duo. It is mych better and faster as others have said alrady
