FE770 Wireless Help

This is irritating. I will occasionally lose the connection between the Intel 3945 Wifi and my D-Link DI-514 router. But, when it comes to reestablising the connection, the system simply can't. The "search for wireless networks" wont produce a single network even when I have the laptop right next to the router. I've restarted it along with my router numerous times to no effect. In the last two cases, I had to wait quite a while before the damn thing would find my router and actually connect. Any idea why the hell this is happening?

Using WPA-PSK, TKIP on channel 6.

No, but I was using a Dell Inspiron before i started using the FE770 and it never did this. My Sony is doing the same thing as your's and would love to hear any suggestions from other members.

I am not sure if you are still having this problem or not. My wireless connection seemed to drop every 60 minutes and sometimes it would re-establish itself and other times it wouldn't. I searched the web with many variables, and tried out what looked like possible solutions with no success until I came across a reference to Disabling Task Offload. There were a couple of Microsoft Articles on this problem - http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=904946 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888750/ All I had to do was to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\Tcpip\\Parameters and add a New DWORD Value of DisableTaskOffload with a Value of 1. After I re-booted I had no further wireless connection problems. Hope this helps.
