I didn't see a SZ220 on Sony's website, but the m3450 is a lot cheaper than a similarly configured SZ240. Sony's was about 300 more. The screen is a 13.3 on the Sony, and a 14.1 on the AW. Also, sony only offers the Core Duo processor and not the Core 2 Duo processor.

same with me i only found a 320, even with that, a 3450 with a 2.16ghz, xp pro, 2gb ram, 120gb hdd, 8x dual layer optical drive, and an extra battery was ony $40 more than the vaio. i think its a way better deal, that and it has a bigger sreen. the only thing i would be concerned wth t battery life. the 3450 is advertised to have 3.5 hours of battery when mne get 3 hours at the most. i would go with the 3450
