my situation

Thread Starter
ok so I have a HP Pavillion ze4600 that I got a while ago. I dont use too much because it is rather slow. its only has 256mb of ram and a cpu of 500mhz. I really want to be able to use my laptop but it will take forever to get anything done.

I've been thinking about upgrading the ram, but would that really help? is it possible to upgrade my processor to a faster one?

any advice is appreciated

1: Next time you create a thread, please use a descriptive thread title.

2: Yes you need to buy more ram..... 256 is a joke if you're running Windows, 512 should be a min, 1 gig would make the machine run allot better....

You can check here to see what kind it uses:

Another thing you can do since you got the machine a "while ago" is to do a fresh install of Windows. (Tip- you might want to state the age of the unit when asking for advice on a problem)
