Problem: deleted dell diagnostic partition

I was advised to delete all partitions, including the utilities (I believe this holds the diagnostic sect). Running into problems with the laptop and Dell support wants me to run system diagnostics.. I can't.

What do I do? I see this guide: http://www.goodells.net/dellutility/recreate.htm

But it is WAY over my head...

Did you receive a drivers & utilities CD? The diagnostics should be there as well.

Go here http://support.dell.com/support/down...rue&l=en&s=gen and put in either your Service Tag or your model name and then you will be able to download the diagnostics.
