Nice find. I been scanning their site for it now and then and it was not listed as of yesterday so things are progressing with this notebook. It has just become available in Australia, was only pre-order before. Probably in the US this month sometime, hopefully with the 20.1" screen option as the frame already accommodates it.

They list it with 2 x GeForce Go 7950 GTX in SLI mode, but I didn't know there was a 7950 GTX part, mobile or stationary... I know nVidia resently released the 7950 GT though.

Im just hoping the 7950gtx will be the dual core version and that a (19 or 20)wuxga display will be available in the near future as well

Gone from their site but here is the cached version:

Cached Version

Besides the CPU upgrade and the memory difference, all the other specs are the same...Looks like I will be able to replace the mobo in mine with the new one when it comes out

They have a link to the M590KE, it just goes to a 404 error:

In the link to the cached Clevo page the M590KE is listed with the new 7950 GTX mobile GPU released today. Maybe this was under NDA by Nvidia earlier and that is why they removed the page? This notebook should be awesome with the 9750 GTX in SLI and a TL-60 Dual Core Turion 64. I just wondering if that is the reason it is not released yet, they were waiting for the 7950 GTX.

Assassin

The problem is the availability of the 7950 cards.
These are supposed to come out on Oct. 30th, (I am saying 1st week in nov. to hopefully be safe), the problem is that even Clevo doesn't know if these are going to be 7950 GT's or GTX's they get in the first batch. Sounds strange, but I just got off the phone with them.

The actual 590Ke won't be available until 2nd week in November. This has been a looooong time coming and again, it's a little late since in December there will be a Quad Core 2 Duo capable 17" Sli available that will blow its doors off performance-wise, but of course the cost is through the roof (right now I can get the K6700 QC2D 2.66 8MB cache, but it is $$$$, and very limited supply.)

Immagine the difference between a TL-60 2.0 Ghz dual core vs. (2) 2.66 Ghz Core2Duo's. No contest.

Dang!!! I want one of those for Xmas! And I was going to wait for the 7950GXT next month. Heck, I'll wait 'til December then.

where did you get the information about the quad core 2 duo 17" sli notebook?

Info

From Clevo, it takes a Conroe desktop chip and is supposed to take a QC2D.
I am supposed to get one of the first ones so I can throw a QC2D in it and have it reviewed.
Will the power brick and motherboard support an extra 65 watts? According to reports the QC2D uses twice the power of a Conroe.

Hmm the kentsfield SLI notebook you speak of 'killernotebooks' sounds like quite a system. If I can hold out until December that sounds like the buy. I'll be interested to read your review.

Qc2d

Well the issue is really the cost.
Of course the performance is going to be astronomical, especially for the new games optimized for the quad core.

I've got the cash and can't wait 'til this monster is released. December you say, heh? I'll wait then.

17" Sli

Well send me an email and we can keep in contact about it.

I hope that this particular subject doesn't die off. I say that since I would love to buy the Sager 20.1" version of this particular notebook. However, I haven't heard anything about the 20.1" screen and the inclusion of the Intel Core 2 Duo. Are these going to be sold soon? In fact, I would prefer the dual quadro 2500 cards as well as the Intel proc. and the larger screen.

Any info. regarding this would be greatly appreciated.
