Ok yea what i meant is for 3D gaming, it will hog the power. The res is most depending on the monitor you have. Todays Standard wide screen res is 1280x800, like mine. While my desktop using 1024x768. Both images is crystal sharp and windows desktop size is the same, well ok widescreen version is bit wider that's all. The image doesn't really matter because if you compare one comp run on super res and other one use to the standard res, the windows will appears the same. But only difference is that higher res for gaming will lows thing down, is like using lower end graphic card. That's why i mentioned X700/G6600 etc.. also in the during gaming if you downgrade res will blur the images therefore lower gaming quality. I think that's quite an important point for buying a proper gaming laptop. However this guy is looking for low ended gaming laptop.. Just lack of graphic power. Other specs are good

EDIT: All i talking about is on its Native res.

I`m also thinking about buying new thin and light laptop and after some search see what I got:
sony sz with core 2 duo, looks great, 13.3 screen perfect, 2 videos, light, but I read a lot of complains that cooler is very noisy and keyboard noisy and cheap, and overall sony is pricy, no S-video output
model sz340P09 on newegg $1750 without tax )))

Toshiba u205-5044 plenty of ram, core2 dou, but thicker and heavier for me, not best performance even duo 2, 12.1 display not great, integrated video, price $1600
I decided not to go with toshiba

Asus different models
ASUS W7J-3P014P price is great $1300 after instant discount and rebate, video 7400 is good, overall I think the best price, value, weight, but core duo (not duo 2), gives a lot of heat, not as light as sony, dispaly is alright but not like sony !,
ASUS W7J-3P076P the same as privious one but Core 2 duo and $1500
ASUS A8JS-4S013P ~1600 (out of stock right now) major problem for most people no Bluetooth, but video new Gefore 7700, nice screen Wxga+ 14.1, for games the best from portable, heavier than other discussed models, anremarkablr battery life ~2.30 but what would u expect with this videocard
Im gonna buy something next week, still not sure what (
Still I incline to Sony
