Questions: HP dv6000t

I’m considering purchasing a HP dv6000t for college and light gaming, but I have a few questions first:

1) Does the black finish and silver finish attract a lot of fingerprints? I remember reading somewhere that because of the way it’s made that it does, but I wanted a second opinion on it. Also, what can I clean both of them with?

2) How does the black finish make it more “durable”? According to HP’s site about the 6000t, it does, but I don’t understand exactly how.

3) How heavy is it? HP’s website says it varies from 6.1 to 6.6 pounds, but that seems a little vague. I don’t know if they’re figuring in a different type of battery, but mine will just be the basic battery, so I don’t know how that figures into the weight.

4) How good are HP’s desktops and laptops, and how do they rank as a company? Several of my friends tell me that they’re extremely good for printers, but I’ve never heard any feedback in the way of their other merchandise.

I’d really appreciate any help with these questions. Thanks.

Fingerprints...-YES, BIG TIME.

A much better unit for college with a 4 hour battery life would be:

HOT DEAL !!!! $500 after $100 Mail in HP rebate !!! RB526UT#ABA Compaq nx6325

Magnesium alloy frames and display enclosures
HP Spill-resistant keyboard
HP Biometric Fingerprint Sensor

The ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 GPU (The video card) is about 33% faster than a ATI Express 200m

Comes with (1) 512 dimm (Consumer models come with 2, 256 dimms, unit will take 4gig, consumer models 2gig... Product cycle of the business lines notebooks is MUCH longer unlike the "home" line....

Check out the links in the above thread.

PS: The screen is in the 4x3 format which is better for displaying webpages, documents...

One more thing... the battery (lasting 4 hours) FAST charges in only 90 minutes.
