I work for a cleaning company at a school and tonight they had a computer tower sitting buy the door with a sign stating that it was trash. Figuring that I could use it for parts I brought it home. I plugged it in and hooked my monitor up and pressed the power button. To my surprise it powered up. I dont know why they threw it out but they do throw some good stuff out sometimes, just last year they threw out a new looking infocus x2 projector that only needed a new lamp. I bought a new lamp for it and it works fine. Anyways when i boot it, it brings up the system check like ram and what not but then asks for a password to continue. Since I dont have the password is there anyways to wipe out the existing program and reinstall a xp os on it so I could use it? If not Im sure I could part it out. It looked like a home made job since it has a huge tower case with no names on it. From the looks it has a dvd rom drive, creative sound blaster audigy drive, memorex dvd-rw drive, sony cd-rw drive and a 3.5 disk drive. It also has a pentium 4 decal on the front. I will try to get some pics of the front, back and inside. Still wondering why they were throwing it out, Hopfully everything will check out on it.
