Gx2 or 2 7950 gts

Ok this is my last question before ordering my rig. Which is more powerful, two 7950 gts or a single 7950 gx2, both in sli. Which one has better performance?

Just by looking at the spec's on the NVidia website I'd give a nod to the GX2. It has double the amount of RAM, a 512 bit memory interface and unbelievable fill rates.. plus it should take up less space inside your case.
Best of all, for the moment, it's the King of the pile. Nobody would be able to top you for at least a week or so

I'd agree. It'll be huge for now, and gives you an option of upgradeability down the road, whereas the two gts's will be great for a decent time, but they will slowly go downhill over time.

I think Guntizzle got over 9300 on 06 with his gx2 without overclocking

7950gx2 is awesome a 7950gt is just a overclocked 7900single card, a 7950gx2 has 2 cards in one and very powerful
