Media Direct + Self Image = Gone! Help

You probally know what i will ask by my title.. but i dumped off this dell crap (and kept the dell partitions), and installed MCE again.... ... does anyone know how to get the media direct button to work, i mean to boot to media direct when i hit that button?

Assuming you left all partitions alone, you download and run the Media Direct repair utility found here:

I have a similar problem. My girlfriend's xps m1210 was not running very well so i decided to format it. the thing is i didn't know about this mediadirect partition so i just destroyed all three partitions that came with the computer, and did a fresh xp install. i now realize this was a mistake because i can't get mediadirect to work. there are 3 cds that shipped with the computer, the operating system one, application one for reinstalling sonic cine player and the drivers and utilities one. i do not have the media direct installation cd. i don't know if it should have come with the notebook. any help on how should i proceed to reinstalling media direct would be greatly appreciated. thanks
