Nice lappies Yang! so no issues with the m5750? Since mine is taking so long I might just upgrade to the m5750 since I don't see as many issues with this model. Oh btw that Gigbyte laptop you own is the sameone I owned for a few years ago from gateway (m505x, same model as the gibabyte just rebadged) The m505x was a great laptop btw and I love the slot loading drive : )

yeah i wish the 5750 had the slot loading as well!

yeah, LiL Yang's and mine have worked flawlessly...I tried my machine on battery for the 1st time tonight...it only lasted an hour hahaha...

so i'll be taking my gigabyte on my travels this weekend and leave the alien @ home =(...

Sexy RIG!!! not as sexy as that ALX just posted but still sexy as Fcuk.....
The 1 hour battery is HUGEly dissapointing!!!!
Seeing ur pics I almost ordered one 2nite, but the 1 hour batt and no webcam built in killed it.

Does it have MXM grfx???

The pencil sharpener is called a "Ferrite Core" (Iron)....
It wraps around cords (prolly ur power cord) and is meant to clean up the electricity of the cord it runs through and help w/ cross cable interference. The only place Ive seen one really do anything is on a Monitor (vid)cord although Ive seen em on every kind of computer cord you can buy now.

congrats

PS, Ive been in the market for a new lappie as my Sentia is aged, wanted to go w/ non-AW laptop cuz better hardware for less money, but damn seeing yours reminds me of just how sexy AW's are!!! Why is it only the mALX has a webcam built in????

More pics mother fcker!!!!!
And do your laundry u "sllep directly on the matress slob"...jk hehe

Thanks for explaining what that magnet thing was haha.

Actually the 1 hr. battery is pretty good for what I was doing...(I didn't tweak anything ie. change power settings, or LCD brightness etc.)...I just unplugged it and went to town... haha

I played CSS for a lil bit, watched TV, while I was uploading some of my digi-cam software via optical drive, editing and posting pics on this thread all @ the sametime =P

I do believe it is a MxM gpu and yeah the lack of web cam was disapointing but it's a great system..very happy w/ it

oh and yes I was doing laundry when my laptop arrived haha...so yeah I kinda didn't even think about laundry until I got the laptop all setup =D

Hold it...Alienware ball! I want one!!!

Great pix Yang88She...

I always knew you had Alienware tattooed on your ball...

Thanks for the pics, it looks sleek and lovely.

I was going to say I've seen that magnet thingy on phone lines to reduce noise, but I don't know where you'd use it other than the power supply. Maybe the tv tuner line in...

Congratultions dude. Finally some detailed unboxing snaps.
Mind if I borrow one till I get my own?

@Archalien, I believe even the Auroras have built-in webcams and nt just the mALX
post #16 of 44
IF you lower the LCD brightness and use the lappy just for web browsing you could probably get around 2+ hrs.
Then there's undervolting, turning the gpu down, and stuff like that.
Congrats, Yang...glad all is working well.

The 9700's have webcam I think but not near as sexy as the models yang has or the alx, dontt need sli and no core 2 duo on those......

Confused, is that a 5550 and a 5750 next to each other, cuz one looks bigger than the other but I cant tell which one is which.......?

More PICKS!!!!
