Yang:

I really enjoyed seeing your entry. I am on the cusp of buying an Alienware - Area 51 5750 and am in the process of deciding. I need some reassurance that the model and manufacturer are solid. See, I am in Calgary, Canada, and if there are issues, it will be difficult, to say the least, to ship this back and forth. Any thoughts. Specifically, the model and features that I have found to be of most interest are:

Nice pics, Yang. It's a sweet set up and I really like how it's a pro at multitasking. Have you done any video editing on it?
Is this just a thread for pictures, or do you have a separate, more detailed review?

Oh btw....
Nice shot of Megatron/Transformers playing in WMP! Do you have any pics of the TV tuner?

Hi Enjoi, I noticed you are actually pretty close to me (my g/f lives in Alameda)

I havn't done any video editing yet:

But I did play games while defragging w/ no noticeable lag.

I also ripped some cd's, surfed the net, and watched tv @ the sametime.

I can add close up pics of the external tv tuner later tonight

Yeah, Alameda is probably half an out from Alamo (my hometown), but uh, I'm in LA right now attending college....

I just had a couple more questions: Does the m5750 have a built in mic? Also have you done any follow-up battery tests to test the maximum time you could get out of it?
It does have a built in mic, the max time I got out of mine was always around 2 hours but that was just basic word processing.

wow! How did you get this score? I guess my lack of knowledge in tuning the system doesnot allow me to get over 5300! Sucks!!!

haha tiny, well I'm trying to break into the 7K

but I only got to tweak it and mess w/ it a few hrs last night =P

@ least you rmachine is running good now =D
post #39 of 44
haha... yea, so far so good ... Guess this makes me want to push it to its limits, but I guess I should just stick to what I have at the moment. Experiencing any other disappointments that might happen after tweaking it would totally kill me ...

haha yeah, no need to push it...I just wanted to make sure that I beat everyone else's score =P
