Question regarding MediaDirect after format...

I received my new 9400 yesterday. I have kept the recovery partition and the MediaDirect partition.

I formatted and split the C partition into 2 (C and D) and installed Vista onto C.

Now When the laptop is OFF and I press the MediaDirect button, I get the Media splash screen, then Windows Vista boots...?

Bearing in mind the recovery & media partition are intact, is there a way I can get the MediaDirect function back without removing Vista?

Thanks for any help

Try the MediaDirect repair utility on Dell's website. It requires you to burn a CD that you'll boot your computer from to run the repair.

Yea, I saw that, but havent looked into it much yet. I'm not sure if it changes the partitions at all or anything, or whether I'll loose the Vista boot files?

The new Vista build is out today (friday) anyway, so before I format and install the new build, I'll run the repair util and see how she goes...so if it does bugger up Vista, Ill be reformatting anyway.
