E1505 audio crackling and popping?

Hello all! I have had my E1505 for roughly 2 months now and I have noticed that when I play my music on it through Windows Media Player, it crackles and pops. It sounds a little like a scratched or dirty CD. This occurs on both my Logitech X-230 speakers and the built in ones. It did it a little when I first got it, but then it stopped... And now it's returned. And I'm a little ticked. Anyone else having this problem or know a solution? 'Twould be greatly appreciated

Cheers,
Jarrod

You might try reinstalling the latest Audio drivers off the Dell website....Also is it only with the Windows Media player that you get the cracking and popping ?....or do you get it using other players....If so your speakers may be going bad in the laptop....

WSXGA+ Truelife

I can understand a little static while doing extreme gaming. However, when all I'm doing is surfing the web and torrenting, I can't understand extreme crackling/popping/distortion like I'm listening to right this second. This problem also occurs when I tried to use VLC media player. Please help!

Did you try and see if the distortion occurs while using headphones, otherwise I'd say your speakers may need replaced......Also did your system come with the Creative Advanced MB software..if so you might try reinstalling the drivers of the Dell website along with your regular Sigma tel Drivers.....

warlord beat me to it. I was getting this bad, however it wasnt all the time like you, just during gaming. But when i put in headphones, it went away. Im guessing my speakers are just bad (all though new), so i guess im goign to have to tell dell, but i just dont want to send my lappy back!!!!
