Unlike my last thread where I was rather unhappy with Alienware I am now (having received my m7700 and set it up) reversing my opinion. Everything is perfect - system configured properly - pristine condition - and blazing fast. I haven't tried any games yet as it took me a few hours to move all the data over and install applications but I can say this: it took me over three hours to copy my data to a portable hard drive and less than 10 minutes to bring it onto the new machine. It was so fast I had to open up all the directories to make sure everything was present and correct.
Yes the phase game was more than irritating (understatement of the year)but I now truly understand what those of you who said it would be worth it meant.
I'll post benchmarks tomorrow when I'm awake enough to install 3D Mark.
