Asus Chkmail software - how do I get it to work?

I've got an Asus W2Jc which has the Asus Checkmail software installed. This is supposed to blink one of the blue LED's on the front of the laptop when a new mail is recieved.

I can't figure out how to configure the software. There is no configuration option available anywhere!

I just want to get it to work with MS Outlook 2003.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

I can't believe no one can help?? Don't any of the other Asus laptops have this LED and the chkmail software installed?

Please help if you know the answer, or have any suggestions! I'd really appreciate it.

I guess I can always email Asus tech support, but I tend to always go to online forums first as it's the people who are using the systems that normally have the answer!

Let the suggestions roll in...

u can check this out (one of many) - as i understand, u must do some scripting and coding around it

It should work with Outlook by default. When you have the mail program running (i.e Outlook Express, Outlook) and a new message is received, your main LED should light up... however, the mailer program MUST be running!
I found the program quite useless actually... but you shouldn't have to do any sort of scripting or anything advanced like that... at least not wth Outlook.

You're right - it is pretty much useless! I've now uninstalled it to free up some memory and keep my running processes down.

It's a waste of a blue LED though! Shame!
