Ship time bad or is it just me?

So I ordered my E1505 finally on sunday night...but it says ship date oct 23

Is that normal? I mean, i'm paying $100 for shipping+taxes, youd think they want to get it off to me sooner.

It'll get to you faster than you expect! Just you see!

(Also - Dell does not email you when it is shipped - you have to check that manually)

arrived today!! so thats about 4 days all the way to Hawaii, not bad.
