my toshiba satellite a65 broke about a month ago, and i really need to use it...i have a desktop that is kinda junk, so i was wondering if i could take all the parts out of my laptop and put it into the desktop case...and if anybody know if there are any tutorials that would be a great help...oh, the reason im doing this is because i dont have the money to just get my laptop repaired.

Whats wrong with the laptop??????If it is a broken lcd (monitor), why not just hook the laptop up to your desktop monitor.

my sisters friend accidentally sat on the cord that plugs into the back of the laptop to charge it...and the peice the connects snapped....i cnat plug the laptop into the moniter cause its dead and it cant be charged, thats why i am gonna salvage the parts.

The parts are not usable in a desktop, except the HDD and you would still need an adapter. If it is the jack in the back, it can be replaced by any Toshiba repair place.

I didn't suggest diy. Wanting to reuse laptop parts in a desktop implies not much experience taking laptops apart.
