7800 bios flashing problem

ok, so i'm trying to fix the clock speeds on my 7800gtx back up to stock settings because they are below the norm. i have already created the premade .rom files on an .iso disk, from notebookforums.com. now when i try to boot from it, it goes through all the steps until the :r command prompt. it will stop at "unpacking atapi..." and then i have to restart my comp because it doesn't do anything even if i let it sit 10 or more minutes.

any help?

Use NVflash to flash the .rom file to your 7800.

You must be doing something wrong.

1) Make a bootable floppy on your system
2) Install NVflash plus the modified.rom file on the floppy.
3) Reboot your system from the floppy.
4) Type " nvflash modified.rom "
5) answer the question with Yes

When everything is done, take out the floppy and restart the system.

i'm not doing anything wrong, i'm using the premade .iso from the overclocking your 7800 thread. i've made 5 disks so far of the exact same .iso. it has worked for probably a hundred some other people.

Try using Nero and a CD-R. Go to Recorder/Burn Image. Select the image file. Under burn options u have to make sure you select 'finalize disc'.

Hit F12 at boot and select the 'max memory' cd boot option.
