I so feel like returning my XpsM1710 still within the 20 days and gettting the new card. So any core clock, and ram speed specs.

That's nice that they are allowing people to OC the CPU, but what about the new GPU?? It would be great if the 7950 wasn't BIOS locked. I would buy one just for that!!

I really want to get one of these and a new CPU

The question becomes cooling? I wonder if they changed anything to support the higher clocked video card and allowed over clocking of the CPU.

Also I wonder how the warranty works if you cook something overclocking the CPU?

I'm not sure where this dual GPU idea is coming from, the desktop 7950GTX is only a single GPU card, the 7950GT2 is the dual GPU version.

It's a single GPU, the bios is lock as with previous cards. The overclocking the GPU requires the same steps as before.

That is exacly what it is. I wonder if we can flash the 7950 bios onto the 7900.

Ok so 7900GTX owners pipe in:

So who is running at those speeds currently? Is it stable and running cool enough?
I run at 600/700 all day with zero problems. Even without a cooling mat in 60-70 ambient. No crashes ever.

I wonder if this puppy will fit in the older laptops (i.e. gen2/m170)

Probably just dreaming....
Been running 600/700 since for two weeks now never gotten over 70c, in any games including fear & BF2142

Does this 7950 go has DVI-Dual link?

Ive had my 7900gtx running at 600/700 for the last couple days with no problems. and if youre worried about temps just run 18kfan and have it run the fans on max
