Alienware Area 51 - M5750 - Issues, Concerns, Ideas

Thread Starter
I have read through most of the feedback regarding Alienware, not only do I still have a concern about their quality, but also their ability to provide customer service. I need to make a final decision this week and would welcome receiving any feedback about the computer (listed below) that I am thinking about buying. If this doubt persists, I may just direct my money to Voodoo. Nice machines but the prices require some sort of voodoo. That's probably how they got the name. Anyways, I would really appreciate the user community weighing in on this: Are they any issues or concerns I should have with buying an Area 51 - 5750 from Alienware? And, if not, what are your thoughts on the configuration shown herein. Thank you.

I have 2 5750's and they work flawlessly.

I have always had great experiences w/ their CS (not just b/c I'm a moderator here)...

I also had issues w/ a previous system, and they were able to take care of me promptly...

w/ any manufacturer, there will be lemons and some bad experiences...

but I leave my 5750 on 24/7, I've ran it on battery, I use it for gaming, dvd decoding, tons of DLing, watching TV, tivo, etc.

and it's performed GREAT!

I would suggest going w/ the least amount of ram, and buying the ram from a 3rd party (it will be cheaper)...also if pending on your preference, I <3 the higher resolution screen vs. the 1440 x 900 and I've played w/ both..1 5750 has the 1440 and the 2nd one has the 1920 x 1200
