Totally disagree. I *WANT* dell to support my machine after it has a new GPU installed. You don't get that with any other dell notebook, or any other notebook for that matter.
Yes, the snapons are useless. Yes, it's a big machine. But you're statement about "crush and burn" syndrome is total BS melodrama. That isn't the case, and you know it
Can't get a 3.4ghz in the 9100, nor can you get the EE version... If you're a gamer and you want that, XPS for you.
I just priced out a 9100 and an XPS using as close to the same specs as possible for a system I want (512MB assumed, since dell is a ripoff on memory for sure). $2291 vs. $2576. For under $200, i'm getting a 3.4ghz as opposed to a 3.2, and the ability to upgrade my video in a supported manner. Might not be worth it to you, but it's hardly the "rip off" you're making it out to be.
