i am looking around for a notebook,is this a good notebook to buy?it is a little more than i expected,is it worth the money?

What do you want a notebook for (specifically what kind of applications do you use)? What size do you want? How important are battery life & portability?

The Qosimo is a good notebook for some people, but it's far from ideal for most.

qosmio

actually i am buying it for my wife,it will be used for her work which will be medium to high work usage,she also wants good media,17"w screen,the usual good processor,1gb ddr mem, 100-200 gb hd,decent graphics card and good sound.
i want to spend around $1500 to get her something decent,i think the qosmio is around $16-1700 but it does look cool too which is a plus so any other suggestions would be appreciated or is the toshiba ok for the bucks?

the g35 is around 1600-2200us. the qosmio is a good laptop but it is very expensive for my taste. you can get a very decent e1705 with 1500

i would recommend an Alienware m9700, has everything you need in a slick sexy package with tons of features and a lot of power instead of the ugly ass qosmio thats all thick and fat....
