Problems after new sigmatel driver

I have my I8600 hooked up to the docking station. I have my speakers plugged in to the speaker/headphone jack on the left side of the docking station.

Before the new sigmatel driver I installed last night the music and sound worked fine through the speakers. Now I can't even hear audio files over the speakers. I unplug the speakers and it plays fine through the laptop speakers.

Could the new download driver be causing this?

How do I uninstall the new download and revert back to the old one that works?

I have noticed on previous occasions before the new driver was downloaded that at times it didn't come through the speakers. Could it be something else?

In control panel check all your volume settings to make sure one didn't get muted for some reason. That happened to me before when I updated a driver.

It only has an audio connector on the left side. That's the only plug available for the speakers...at least the speakers I have.

Let me see if I got this right ..
So you have your speakers plugged into the speaker jack (#3) on the left side of the docking station and your not getting any sound

When you unplug the speakers it plays fine out of the laptops speakers??? If so it sounds like you either have a set of bad external speakers or the actual speaker jack on the docking station is faulty ..

Do headphones work when plugged into the docking station headphone port? If so bad speakers if not then possible bad jack on docking station ..

Normally software doesn't have much of a function on the speaker/headphone jack .. Its more hardware operated .. when the plug is inserted it electrically cuts off the internal speakers causing sound to emit thru the external speakers/headphones ..
