XTreme-G MobileForce 92.91 G2 RELEASED!!!

Thread Starter
Greetings. Long time no driver, eh? Well, that has changed (FINALLY!) with the Official release of the LATEST XTreme-G MobileForce driver, based on NVIDIA's ForceWare 92.91, which is their Official Beta driver and enables PureVideo HD support as well as other bugfixes and enhancements. Well, where to begin... For starters, you all may have noticed the slight name change. The reason for this is simplification, as there isn't much changing going on lately with the Tweaks as their used to be, so, this set is Officialy named "XTreme-G MobileForce 92.91 G2". When there is a MAJOR change to the TweakSet, the driver would be named "G3", "G4" and so on. It's easier for users to keep track of, it simply looks cooler. Other than that, changes are pretty minor, with a slight update to a couple of tweaks, but that's about it. I hope everything works right, and make sure to spec yourself to reduce Cast Timers, or just get the biggest friggin' gun you can and blow somethin' up! Seeya!

Tony's back!! =D
Good job tony! Unfortunately, the 92.91 is a bit slow at my setup, get 200 points lower 3Dmark05 and no better game-perforamance, laso had real problems saving different performance-settings under the ctrl-panel with this driver. Still sticking with 84.69 for now. Snyone else having problems updating preformance-profiles?
Why are you sticking with 84.69? What 3dMarks are you getting with it?
Could anyone really go ahead and do a comprehensive survey of drivers benchmarking on one of the latest cards? I know it's big ask as it's not that easy.

Cool.

Does anyone know if anything new has been found on making non-Dell released drivers turn off the LCD backlight on lid close (with the e1705/7900GS in particular)? This is pretty much the only reason I'm still using the stock Dell drivers.

So I installed it and it works perfect, also the performance settings in the panel and here are some benches:

clocks @ 625/725 (my defaults):

Really good driver in my opinion, keep up the good work Tony!!!

clocks @ 635/735 (just testing, no artifacts, but a little bit hot ):

Firestarter...when you say no artifacts. Is that no visible artifacts in 3dmark05? Or no artifacts with ATITool?....or both?

Thx.
Only scanning for artifacts with 3DMark by looping all tests for at least 5 times
post #10 of 13
My 3DMark05 score only improved by 6 points over the Dell drivers. Is that normal? I'm running at 430/1150 on a 7900 GS.
With my 7900GS, WoW starts and will only run at 800x600. Everytime I try to change res, it crashes.

No widescreen resolutions are available in the game either....

Nothing has changed but the driver update.

Went back to the previous version of the driver and all is back to normal..... i'm going to wait a bit to update.

the drivers been working fine for me so far, havent had a chance to compare benchmarks yet though.

does the problem with the lcd turning off when the lid is closed apply for all dells?

In the games I have tried, performance is the same. I get around 6200 points with 92.91, but 6400 with 84.69, and I have problems saving changed sattings in the 3D-profiles.
