I'm looking for a laptop sleeve that will have a snug fit to my 17 inch laptop. I'm looking for something cheap(in terms of price) but high in quality.

just something to put on my laptop when i put it in my north face backpack.

ideas?

I don't have it, but it was the sleeve I found as I was looking for a sleeve for my E1705. I ended up getting a regular laptop case, the "Case Logic - 17" Classic Computer Case" (it's on ebags.com too).

I've been using this for several months, and it's perfect for my needs. CompUSA had it for ~$35.

I use these on both my 1210 and my 1710. The one for the 1710 will not fit in the XPS backpack though, it is only for when I need to grab the notebook all by itself.

well i meant more like a slip cover i can put on the laptop. Something like the ipod socks from apple but made for a laptop... and hopefully not a sock material.

I use this one myself

I got it when it was on sale for $8 shipped, but now it is $15 (still a good deal IMO)

I also just ordered a Microloader backpack from ebags so I hope they both work together well

Hmm, debaucher that looks like a great buy.

I've got a regular laptop case on its way, but maybe I'll get that sleeve too, for times when I don't want to haul my bag around.

lol, I don't know who is more eager for your laptop case to arrive ricky, you or me! :-) I am using my old Targus backpack, and my other regular case doesn't fit it. Does the one you ordered have room for a spare battery, plus the power adapter?

ayefly: It has room for the power adapter next to the laptop, and I put my Razer (regular-size, gaming) mouse on top of that so they both fit in the main compartment but I'm sure a battery could go there instead. Then, if you had a mouse (regular-size or smaller) you could fit it in the front compartment.

There is plenty of room, it's just a matter of positioning your stuff. I found a good layout so that I can fit all of my stuff and it's all accessible without having to take out other things to get to it.
