whats the difference between dell.com and dell.com/outlet?
and why is there no canadian version (dell.ca/outlet)
p.s. are all prices on dell.ca $US or $CAD?

Outlet are "refurbuished" laptops. Usually they are laptops that have been returned to Dell by customers for whatever reason (i.e. the laptop was bigger, smaller, heavier, less powerful, etc than they wanted) and Dell can no lnger sell it as "new". They test them and then resell them through the outlet.

Prices on Dell.ca would be Canadian.

There's nothing wrong with those laptops. IIRC you can even get extended warranties on them.

If you can...buy from the outlet. Many of those pc's have never even been used. Just get complete care warranty and you're set to go.

The dell outlet rocks. That's where I got the Inspiron 9400/E1705 in my sig for a good price.
