Looks pretty sucky for the price. Dell has a much higher spec 12" for that money...

The 1000 is particularly a bad deal, 12 inch screen and x1150 graphics for $1999? At least the 5000 has x1600 and 15 inch screen. But then its for $2300

my 5005 is actually locked in for 2100. Which isn't bad, considering the 4006 was at that price a few months after it's appearance to the general market.

I love the ferrari line, it's a shame acer always seems behind on the technology though Maybe if the 5000 hit 6 months ago it wouldn't seem like such a poor value.

i agree. But i'm too much of a sucker for the ferrari looks lol. but then again, technology is always advancing...i know the 5000 can fulfill my requirements for years to come =D

The Ferrari is confirmed to be in stock at TigerDirect.com and PCSuperStore.com. Mine should be coming soon... ^^
Edit: I canceled my previous order and ordered from PCSuperStore instead. The laptop will be arriving tomorrow (Thursday). Expect LOTSA pics and benchies this weekend! Also, if anyone has suggestions as of what benchies I should run, where to get them, and other drivers that I can use to tweak the little sucker (ie. Omega Driver and what not), please post them here. Pic requests will also be accepted. Thanks!
