How to read a HDD without a password?

How to read a HDD without a password? Just curious to know because i accidently set a password to my hdd and now i forget the password. Scold me if you wish.

To my knowledge, you are pretty much out of luck. There are some password cracking warez out there, but I don't support them, because it defeats the purpose.

Thanks for replying me. I have saved a copy of all my HDD password in my
T30 and i have just disabled the password setting.

You don't have to disable the password setting...just store your passwords somewhere, so that you have access to them. Leaving your system unguarded can lead to trouble if your Thinkpad walks away.
