T2400 vs T5500

Hello,

I'm about to buy barebone (1gb ram, gf 7600, 80gb sata) and i wonder which processor would be better?

Main difference is that T2400 supports Intel® VT and T5500 doesn't.

And what for Intel® VT is used for is it useful for playing games, watching movies, using progrms ?

T5xxx and T7xxx are 64bit processors

And slight faster, ofcouse. VT is not important as you not running Server.. or are you?

VT will provide substantially better performance with VMWare. Unless you run virtual computers inside of VMware or a similar app, you don't need it. And even if you do run them, you don't NEED it, it's just nice.

So, unless you're doing a ton of virtualization, which I doubt you are, it won't matter.
