Sony SZ vs W7j merom

trying to choose between the two..

w7j $1499
1.66 core 2 duo
1gb memory
100gb 5400rpm HD
nvidia go 7400
dvd writer/combo
xp pro
bluetooth

Sony SZ 340 $1450
1.66 core 2 duo
1gb memory
80gb 5400rpm HD
nvidia go 7400
DVD/CDRW combo (not dvd writer)
xp pro
bluetooth

the nice palm rest of the sz wont fade as easily and its a nice looker, but i hear some get a very soft shock from the metal palm rest and there's a sony recall going on with some SZ models being affected.. but it really is nice looking.
w7j new merom refresh, it seems like its hotter than the SZ but for al ittle bit more, i get a slightly bigger HD and a dvd burner

Both worth nothing that much.. choose Acer, Asus, Dell and Rocks.. Or you willing to pay that much for just a brand logo.

Um, the W7j is an Asus.

I would go with the W7j, I am looking at it too to replace my S5n.

If you have an older laptop, Sony has a very good trade-in program going on right now.

$600 credit for any working Sony laptop
$500 credit for any working Dell laptop
$400 credit for any other working laptop
