Problem with 8790

Hello, when I try to re-install Windows XP on my 8790, I get "Operating System not found". Does this mean my DVD-RW drive is no longer working or it a bad disk? Thanks in advance!

Might look in the manual - I think that you need to go into BIOS and Disable Device 29 (All USB Devices except for the lower one in the back). You also need to change the Optical Device to be the Primary Device for the Boot.

At what point are you getting this message? Are you set up for RAID in the DIP switches?

Sounds like a HD issue, not DVD drive issue. Are you using the manual to reinstall or just winging it? Reason I ask is there is a certain order about some of the things (and I do believe G's mention of the USB disabling was part of that Order of Install).
