So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.

I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...

does anyone know where i can get a new LCD screen for toshiba A100 SK9 in canada? or to be more specific calgary Alberta?
its 15.4 inch and i wanna get a new glossy screen.
Are there A100 series laptops with "glossy screen". If not, you may be S.O.L as these LCD screens are model specific. Meaning you cant in most cases swap screens from other models
well, the laptop came with glossy screen. its just that i want to replace it cause the corner is a little cracked... not sure if toshiba's warranty will cover it but just in case i wanna know if there is a place to purchase a new screen for it.
Do a google search for "replacement LCD screens" and you will get all kinds of hits. It wont be cheap. I would hazard a guess and say at least $400.00. Did you sit on the LCD or drop it?????
Don't overlook your Toshiba service centre. Sometimes their parts are even cheaper than you find from alternate vendors. For most things I use these guys: http://www.basicbusiness.com/index.cfm
dropped it but it wasnt that high of a drop.. the sk9 has really weak screen... even if u like tap it, it will crack -_-... anyways.. is it better to buy replacement LCD from toshiba or should i get it from some other place i find on google?
yeah get a price quote from toshiba cause if you go ripping the machine apart to replace the screen you will absolutely void your warranty.... if toshiba does it then your safe. of course no matter what way you go it wont be cheap. unless you bought a warranty extension that had accidental damage coverage toshiba's warranty wont cover you dropping the notebook, so its gonna cost you.
Try eBay, if Toshiba cannot help you at a reasonable price. There's a seller, techexcess, selling new LCD displays for $US220 + shipping, cheapest I've seen for new screens.
well... since my laptop is 15.4, would any 15.4 inch lcd screen be compatible with my laptop? i duno why but i dont really feel safe buying these kinda items from ebay... cause i bought this cable for my phone once and the seller said that it was compatible when when it arrived, it didnt work...
no not every 15.4 inch screen would work... there are things like width and other aspects that make sure that you cant easily use another screen in most circumstances. unfortunately there really isnt a cheap way around it, especially in canada since there are not exactly the volume of sellers that there are in the US. im sure in calgary there are service centers and thats still my suggestion at least before you start asking for other options.
