So Long? Ph.3

I ordered my M9700 on the 1st and I'm still in phase 3 its the 18th now and I mean !! I in the UK and so I have no idea what is going on, e-mails aren't answered and I get home too late to call them. It's so frustrating and I don't get why it would be taking so long to reach phase 4 as it is past back to school rush etc. and before the christmas orders. What possible reasons could there be, can someone please put my fried brain at ease...

My ordered stayed at that phase for a bit because I go to college but my debit card is assigned to my home address and I had to get my dorm address added to the card. Do you have a situation like that?

You really need to try and phone them to find out whats happening, I was in phase 3 for ages

Yea I do but finding the time is hard, I'm only just home now an hour after the call line is closed. I'm not bought it on finance on the first they sent me the agreement, and I had it back to the by the 4th. I was in phase 3 on the 5th been there for two weeks now, and I dunno why. Its not like a rush time period or anything I mean OCTOBER!!! lol the halloween rush in the UK? Jeddie you were stuck there for a month what is with that? Is alienware in Ireland slow or something, hardly here that much on the net or from people about alienware in the UK.

In Phase 5 as of 24.10.06 or 10.24.06 depending on part of the world, only took 19 days lol!! I soo happy now :-)

So now its fri the 27th been in phase 5 for 3 days didn't think they would talk this long in phase 5, why would it? For a laptop, would this mean they are having problems?

Yep still phase 5, how did you reack phase 3 so quickly lol. Its now the 2nd of november and still phase 5 so its been 9 days minus the weekend thats 7, a week to build a laptop which they say the have all the parts for? No sense ah well, I shall make that all important phone call later on today.

Got to phase 3 after I called, I wondered if my payment had come through...
I will call again tomorrow if nothing has changed. Apparently you need to keep calling to make some progress in the phases.

You ordered on the 27th and your in phase 5 like less than a week later? They have all the parts needed for my laptop what on earth? AWUK do need some prodding I guess. Where abouts in UK are you or is it international?

Calling will probably help, what was the shipping estimate when you ordered? For the M5550 it was the 6th of nov when I ordered. I live in the Netherlans, laptop is being assembled in Ireland (same as orders from the UK).

Phase 10!!!!!!!!! as of today WOO!! My estimated shipping date was the 16th of Oct oh dear... I should hopefully recieve either tomorrow or monday only problem with tomorrow is where I live, its Lewes Bonfire search on google basically all the roads get closed quite early... Oh well hope for the best, damn it took alienware long hope there was a reason. One thing is that I really want to know why americans get a free Vista upgrade and office 2007 upgrade and we dont? I ordered XP pro and office 2003 pro I mean bought the top ones I deserve an upgrade if they are out in like no time...

I ordered a 5550 earlier and had the exact same problem. I ordered it the day of the first free gpu upgrade (27th?) but I didn't get that fixed until the 30 I was on the phone when the order went through, and it went to phase 3, but now it's almost a week later and it's still phase 3.

The original estimated ship date was the 7th, but I'm not too worried yet, but it's been stuck on 3 for so long, that I'm concerned.

Congratulations!!!! Very clear that the phases aren't updated often... Hope you receive it today! Have fun unpacking! Update: Mine is also phase 10!! Couldn't check my status during the weekend (already sold my desktop last week). Did you receive an airwaybillnumber? I haven't seen one in my mail...

Finally hit phase 3 now! Is there anybody here who placed an order for the UK that did go as fast as expected? I.e. got shipped on time? The fact that it was stuck in phase 1 was my fault but I hope the rest goes smoothly

I just talked to AW Cust Serv, mine got shipped yesterday morning. Exactly the date that was estimated when I ordered! I expect it to be delivered on thursday, keeping my fingers crossed... I got from phase 3 to phase 10 within a week, seems to go as planned (and hoped!!).
