And it actually works great! I've only tried it in opera. So far the sync issue seems to be fixed. I haven't had a lot of time to test flash9 content but things are looking very good.

Heh I will have to try it sometime, no time at the moment though. Glad to see progress being made at the least.

It's good that it's finally out, but you can't help but feel that you're a 2nd class citizen with Adobe To keep up to date on flash, check out their linux/flash blog: http://blogs.adobe.com/penguin.swf/

I don't know why some people feel this way. I'm just happy that it's getting any attention at all from a ompany like adobe.

ABF, it's not difficult to install the browser plugin... just drag and drop the new file over the old one and you're set. You don't have to download the installer.

I'll have to give this a try... my wife really wants to be able to watch the shows that are posted at abc.com, but I haven't had much luck getting them to work (other than running firefox windows version under wine with Flash, but slow as expected with emulation). Maybe it'll work better with this new beta natively.

BT its hard not to, unfortunatly not only with Adobe but other companies. They don't see a market in linux so they tend to ignore it. It is just a bit more evident with Adobe or other companies that distribute 'cross-platform' solutions that ignore linux for some time.

Though getting anything can be good.

Wow, I'm really impressed with FP9 Beta, it works flawlessly. I used it to go to www.abc.com for thier full episode player, which *will not* work no matter what you do with anything but FP8 or later, and it worked perfectly. This seems, from what I've noticed, a fairly complte beta, pretty close to a release.

There are still some bugs on it that are showing up, but they are progressing at least which is a good thing, and well ahead of schedule I believe.
