Ie7 maybe I'm just crazy it's late

So I decided to try out this new IE7 and maybe it's just me but on my M1710 the Webpages seem sharper with more crisp edges and such, it's quite nice. It just seems sharper or something, maybe it support widescreen now or something... What are your thoughts?

Btw 2142 is a great Game.

IE7 is the latest piece of software that I can add to my "Bite My Ass, Krispy Kreme" list. RC1 wouldn't install on my m170. RC2 wouldn't install on my desktop. The release version now won't install on my Gen2. IE7 had never been an attempted previous install on any of the machines when I tried it. I wanted each version on each machine separately to compare them.

When IE7 installs, it's good. It's not as good as Firefox, due to the lack of freely available plugins. But a marked improvement.

Tonight I installed the released version on my m170, which took quite a while. Odd. Then I attempted it on my Gen2 and was given a hosed machine. The install failed, the self-uninstall hosed IE6. Rebooting hosed Windows Explorer. The only thing that revived the machine was a Safe Mode System Restore.

I will have a real belly-laugh at work when my boss decides to allow IE7 to be installed on our network and half the machines freak out.

The frustrating thing is that the errors I'm experiencing with installation happen RIGHT at the last step in the process. The error in the IE7.log do not match anything that Microsoft has documented on their Troubleshooting page.

Spectacular!!!

Firefox! Firefox! Firefox!

Yeah, down with IE. Firefox and Opera are the ones to go with.

Amen to Firefox guys!

Cuz IE is to vulnerable to trojan horses and virus and spyware. Firefox is somewhat more secure in that sense.

I did not know that. Even still I've heard only good things about it. Even people who crap all over IE still say good things. Never used it however, I love firefox too much.

I agree IE7 final is everything you described and much faster. It is the first solid browser MS has ever released.

No biggy the Opera team became extremely involved in IE7 and no doubt made it better.

Just installed the IE7 final, and it looks good. You must not've had ClearType installed before your IE7 install.

I been using IE7 for a whileon my desktop and I love it,

I have to try it on my Laptop, again and see if they fixed the one problem I had which was connecting to certain Wireless networks at the airport lounge.
