WTF!? Dell Service Tag with extras?

I ordered from the Dell outlet and picked only the 1 Year Limited Warranty, but when I checked, it had many options. Am I just taking over the previous persons WARRANTY PLAN? Because I now have Complete Care?

Same thing happened to me. Not sure if it's an error thing, because the contract still ends after 1 year (mind checking? I found this on another webpage @ dell.com, but uncertain where). Could be that the warranties from the previous user is listed for each service tag and then the contracts limits or extends this. But this is purely speculation.

No idea, but if it's a mistake on Dells end. I'll gladly accept it.

wow, you did get lucky. If I were you I would continue to check that every month or so just to make sure that it isn't discontinued and replaced with your 1 year warranty only.

I'll check on it often & I hope it stays that way.

Hey, I just had the same thing happen. I got a replacement machine and checked the service tag and the warranty was longer than the machine it replaced. Let us know if yours changes on you.

Dell does put a warranty on a replacement system, and I beleive they'll do 90 days or a year (can't remember which) or to the balance of the original warranty, whichever is longest.

Yeah they usally review the warranty history at some point. Calling in Customer care usually can ACCURATELY tell you what warranty you have.
