Long time reader first time poster!

For nearly a year now I have played World of Warcraft (WOW) on my notebook (see signature for some specs).
Last Friday night after playing, windows wanted to install some updates and I let it. The next morning soon after logging into WOW the screen freezes up tight and won't let me alt-tab or ctrl-alt-del out. Since then I have not been able to run the game but for maybe a minute or two before doing the same.
Basically I re-installed the game. Didn't fix it. After other tries to fix... I re-formatted the c: partition, reinstalled windows, all latest drivers from the dell site, held back the windows updates and tada.... still have the problem!! I can surf the net and download stuff and all seems fine. Dell see's this and figures their stuff is ok. Which... ok makes a little since. But now consider this... before I reformatted, I fired up Guild Wars as a test... guess what.. it froze too. Had never had a problem with that game either, not that I ever really played it after trying it.
Anyway.. I need your all's help!! I need opinions about what to check for and better still is if any of you have had this problem and fixed it. I do have some windows log codes but haven't messed with it enough before to know anything too abnormal.

Please help! And also.. I have another desktop hooked up to the same router and such and logs on and plays WOW still without problems. I've done about everything I know to try!!! I await some quick responses as my warranty will be up very soon!! And if it won't play WOW I don't need it!!! Thanks in advance for any help.
