Memory upgrade for 51m7700 .. advice please

I am a 51m7700 owner.
I have one of the first ones

P4 3.6
Go 6800 DDR1

I currently have 1 gig of memory (512x2) and want to get another gig.
From reading the forums and from what CPUID tells me, I have 4 memory banks.

I can therefore get 512x2

I use the machine for gaming so I think 2 gig will be fine, 3 gig or more would be overkill IMO, especially since I am planning on getting a new desktop in the new year which will then be my main gaming rig.

Anyway, I checked out the RAM prices on the UK crucial website (I'm from the UK) and can see there are different types of memory I can get. I want to be sure the memory I buy is compatible with what I have.

Which set do I get ?

I noticed my memory is PC2-4300
Crucial sell PC2-4200

Is it the same ? Also because my current memory is CL4 I assume I buy the CL4 memory, not the CL5 one ..

thanks

Memory Module 2

Umm PC2100 ???
Also, for some reason when I relaunch CPUID it is not displaying the memory info anymore ..

What type of memory do I buy ??

thanks

OK I opened the laptop up and I have Acer memory PC2-4300 CL4
I guess I'm better off finding some PC2-4300 somewhere instead of buying the PC2-4200 from Crucial or is there minimal difference ?

"both 4300 and 4200 are almost the same, but 4300 is pre-OCed from factory, so it runs at an extra 8mhz by default."
